This page is for the Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe). I am seeing this species more than I thought I would. The October 23, 2021 photo is my first photographic evidence of this bird and the first I knew of it. I think it is more common than I was giving it credit. The best photograph I have taken of the Eastern Phoebe to date (above) was from January 2, 2022 at the Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX. I am very happy with this capture as the bird posed for me for a while and was pretty close. It was cool, but not cold, and I like the way it was slightly puffed-up.

The following photographs are the best representative images from different dates and locations than my species representative example.
