This page is for the American Wigeon (Mareca americana). This species is common at the Nature Preserve and I see them on almost every visit. The November 20, 2021 photo is my first photographic evidence of this duck. The best photograph I have taken of the American Wigeon to date (above) was from December 11, 2021 at the Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX.
