This page is for the Wood Duck (Aix sponsa). My first photographic evidence of the Wood Duck was on October 23, 2021 at the Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX. This has been one of my favorite species of ducks as I really like all the vibrant colors of the drake. The best photograph I have taken of the Wood Duck to date (above) is the October 23, 2021 photograph at Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX, but I also really like the misty silhouette of a Wood Duck that I took the following week.
The following photograph is the best representative image from a different date and location than my species representative example.
