This page is for the White-lined Sphinx Moth (Hyles lineata). These moths are often mistaken as hummingbirds as they are near the size of a small hummingbird and hover around flowers similar to the way hummingbirds hover. As a result, they have a common name of hummingbird moths. They also move very fast and even with a shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second, it was difficult to get a decent shot.
