This page is for the Marbled Godwit (Limosa fedoa). I was trying to take a shot of a Black Skimmer, but my camera had other ideas. The skimmer was so out of focus I was about to trash the shot. However, as I was looking around, what was mostly in focus was a surprise. Among all the Willets (and a small Dunlin) was a slightly larger bird that stood out a bit. Upon some research, I was pleased to see that the Marbled Godwit photobombed this shot. Thank you, camera, for realizing it was a new species for me and not focusing on my intended subject.
