This page is for the Greater Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus). I have seen a very few of these bird, and all have been on trails or on the road (I even stopped the truck on the side of the road to try to photograph one, but couldn’t get a decent shot). I was quite surprised that the first photographs I get of this species is of the bird perched at the top of a tree.
