This page is for the Chimney Swift (Chaetura pelagica). This photo is my first photographic evidence of the Chimney Swift and occurred on April 15, 2022 at the Colleyville Nature Center in Colleyville, TX. As this is a common bird, I hope to get a better quality photograph soon. I have seen these birds all my life and my father called them “flying cigars” due to their shape while flying.
