This page is for the Great Kiskadee (Pitangus sulphuratus). My first photographic evidence occurred on April 12, 2021 on the campus of Texas A&M International University, TX. My wife and I would take a walk around campus at lunch almost every day when we worked there. I was quite surprised to find this bird hanging around campus (of course it was Covid time and there were few students on campus). Happily, I had my mobile phone and was able to capture the fairly blurry photo. A better shot, although still blurry was taken from a bus, shooting through tinted windows, to a bird in a tree on the far side of a fairly large pond. Someday I’ll get a nice, close-up shot.

Great Kiskadee on a small branch just above the water in a creek. The bird is a great distance away and hear a downed tree that extends into the water.
