This page is for the Broad-winged Hawk (Buteo platypterus). A nesting pair lived near our house in Kentucky, but I was never able to get a shot of them. I was very happy when I saw this guy as I was driving through the refuge. I stopped on a bridge and there it was about 40 yards down the creek.
