This page is for the Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus). A group of us were trying to capture a photo of a Yellow Warbler when we saw this guy munching on grass near a brushy area. He posed for us for quite a while. Perhaps with us standing near, he didn’t have as much to fear from the local Red-Shouldered Hawks out looking for food for their young.
