This page is for the Ruby-crowned Kinglet (Corthylio calendula). My first photographic evidence of the Ruby-crowned Kinglet was on December 28, 2021 at Cleburne State Park, Cleburne, TX. This is also the best photograph that I have taken to date. These guys are extremely cute I am always happy when I am able to see one, and even happier if I can get a half-way decent photograph. They like to hang around areas that like to mess with the camera’s autofocus, and they usually don’t sit still long enough for me to switch to manual focus.

The following photographs are the best representative images from different dates and locations than my species representative example.
