This page is for the Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus). My first photographic evidence occurred on January 17, 2022 at the Village Creek Drying Beds, Arlington, TX. I was walking along a fence line and saw this bird. He never really got out of the cover of the underbrush, so I was not able to get a decent picture of it. On a different picture, the white spots on his wing are more evident, but this photo was the least blurry.
