This page is for the Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca). While driving around the lake, I was quite surprised to see this non-typical bird along the shore (there were actually a pair of them). This exotic bird is considered from eastern and southern Africa is almost to the point of being considered a naturalized species in the US as its population has been self-sustaining in the wild for multiple years. These birds are most likely escaped ornamental birds.
