This page is for the Eurasian Collared-Dove (Streptopelia decaocto). This invasive bird was extremely common in Laredo, TX. They frequented our back yard all the time and would perch on our outdoor ceiling fan, pooping on the blades and causing the fan to go out of balance. The only way we stopped them was to keep the fan running on low speed all the time (after cleaning the blades). My first photographic evidence occurred on April 8, 2021 at our home in Laredo, TX. This was also the day my Tamron 150-600 telephoto lens arrives, so this was my first “official” picture with the new lens.
