This page is for the Black-crowned Night-Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax). I had heard of this rookery for a few weeks when we decided to head over after birding in another area. There were so many birds. I was very excited to see my first Black-crowned Night-Heron. It stayed below the main canopy of tree branches so the lighting was not great, but I did manage to get a few decent shots. My first photographic evidence occurred on April 30, 2022.
