Coyote (Canis latrans). I was set up overlooking a field at the Village Creek Drying Beds where I saw several species of hawks on a previous visit. This Coyote walked through the field and then back again, stopping at one point to look directly at me. I was in a portable blind, so I think he was trying to figure out what I was. It walked on and then cut up behind me. I didn’t stay much longer after that in case he wanted to investigate more closely.
