I was out shooting waterfowl when this aircraft started flying around overhead. I managed to get some shots of it and surprisingly, it did not scare off the critters. It does say “Marines” under its wing, so it might have migrated up from the Gulf of Mexico.

While out trying to shoot a hummingbird, this U.S. Air Force C-130 kept flying around in the distance. I got a few shots at various distances as it circled around. Then I heard it come by low and overhead from behind me. I was barely able to get it in the viewfinder it was so close (and I was zoomed to 500 mm).

I am starting to sense a theme to my miscellaneous photo section. Here is another aircraft, although I am not sure what type as it was very high in the air. Zoomed in there is some blue writing on it, so perhaps in the future I will be able to identify the airline and type of aircraft.

And I break the theme with this spider web. There was no spider present, so it didn’t fit with the other animals. However, this web was just shining in the early morning sun and I thought it would make a nice picture.

This sign was reassuring as I arrived at Black Mesa State Park in Oklahoma for a few nights of camping. Never did see a bear.

Our guide was told that a Barn Owl roosted at this location. Evidence of the roosting spot is shown although the owl was a no-show. This photo was taken in complete darkness but illuminated with a headlamp. A juvenile Long-eared owl was heard in the distance.

While on our pursuit of owls, we came across this clock tower at night in the town of Teguise on Lanzarote, Spain.
