This page is for the Humpback Whale (Megaptera novaeangliae). Twenty-one years ago I saw some off the North Shore of Oahu, this time they were on the southeast corner of the island. Mostly just their back was out of the water and an occasional blow. This one decided to take a dive and I caught the fluke rising out of the water with droplets cascading off it before it dove deep.
