Fox Squirrel (Sciurus niger). I saw so many squirrels during my first visit to the Colleyville Nature Center. I was walking along a path and this guy was so focused on his breakfast, he didn’t realize I was just a few feet away (he probably did, but is very used to people). So since he was posing, I was photographing.

The squirrels at Colleyville Nature Center sure do like to pose. This guy was hopping along the edge of a pond, and just stood up wanting his picture taken.

I was trying to shoot some woodpeckers and this squirrel was just all over the place. I guess it finally saw me (I was decked out in all camo) and decided to lay low on this branch. It stayed there for a while and as the woodpeckers moved on, so did I.

Squirrels are known to do acrobatics when obtaining food. This one was no exception. He was hanging right over our heads as we walked along the Botanical Gardens boardwalk, so I just had to get a picture.
