This page is for the Least Flycatcher (Empidonax minimus). I kept hearing the Least Flycatcher, but could not see one or get a photograph. This bird landed briefly and I was lucky to get a few shots before it departed again. The light was pretty poor under the forest canopy and the focus was not great, but I managed to get a decent photo. At first I thought it was a Eastern Phoebe as they are very common at the nature preserve, but the white eye ring and wing bars combined with hearing the appropriate call convinced me it was a Least Flycatcher.
