This page is for the White-winged Dove (Zenaida asiatica). My first photographic evidence occurred on April 18, 2021 at Falcon State Park, Roma, TX. Growing up in Oklahoma, I saw Mourning Dove quite frequently. When I first moved to Texas, I was excited by the White-winged Dove. I soon realized that they seem to be the dominate species of dove in south Texas and can attack a bird feeder en masse, forcing out all the other birds. In Fort Worth, there seems to be a decent mix of Mourning Dove and White-winged Dove.
The above photograph is currently the only representative example of a White-winged Dove that I have taken.
