Virginia Opossum (Didelphis virginiana). Early in the day, a little bit before sunrise, we were walking through the Colleyville Nature Center to the owl woods in hopes of seeing the Barred Owls, when we saw this guy climbing the tree. I got a few decent shots as he was climbing, but when I went around the tree, he was looking in my direction and I was able to get the shot. We never did see the owls that day.

My wife and I were out for a morning walk on the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth and saw they guy walking on the trail. When he saw us, he climbed a tree. I was able to capture a full body shot, and another one from a different angle that allowed us to see him bathed in the bright morning sunshine. It gave an interesting lighting to the picture.
