This page is for the Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia). My first photographic evidence occurred on December 30, 2021 at the Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX. This little guy was across the water on a small island in the river. I kept hearing him as he was flitting around. He finally sat still long enough to get a decent photograph. The best photograph I have taken of the Song Sparrow to date (above) was the picture from January 17, 2022 at the Village Creek Drying Beds, Arlington, TX.

The following photographs are the best representative images from different dates and locations than my species representative example.
