This page is for the Snowy Egret (Egretta thula). This species is very beautiful and fairly common. It is easily identified by its “golden slippers” as my wife calls them. My first photographic evidence of this bird was on March 25, 2021 at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, Austwell, TX. The best photograph I have taken of the Snowy Egret to date (above) was from March 26, 2021 at Goose Island State Park, Rockport, TX.

The following photographs are the best representative images from different dates and locations than my species representative example.
