This page is for the Mediterranean Short-toed Lark (Alaudala rufescens). We shopped because a different bird flew in front of our van and we ended up seeing these guys (never saw the original bird again). These larks are very difficult to see among the rocks and brown vegetation and most easily spotted when they move, which was fairly frequent.
