This page is for the Hermit Thrush (Catharus guttatus). I have heard these birds in the woods, but rarely get a glimpse of it. I didn’t even realize I had captured an image of one until a month after this photo was taken. It had been difficult to identify and was in my unidentified folder until I was able to clean up the image. Once processed, the white eye-ring and rufous tail helped with making a determination..
