This page is for the American Pipit (Anthus rubescens). My first photographic evidence occurred on December 26, 2021 at North Holiday Park, Benbrook, TX. My wife and I were exploring the shoreline of Benbrook Lake and she saw it about 20 yards away. This little bird was so well camouflaged among the grasses that it took me more than five minutes to find it after she let me know where it was, and then it was only because it moved.
The above photograph is currently the only representative example of an American Pipit that I have taken.
