This page is for the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron (Nyctanassa violacea). My first photographic evidence of the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron was on August 1, 2021 at the Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX. This bird was apparently there when we arrived at the boardwalk, and sat there posing for at least 20 minute. The best photograph I have taken of the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron to date (above) is the August 1, 2021 photograph at Fort Worth Nature Preserve, Fort Worth, TX.
The following photograph is the best representative image from a different date and location than my species representative example.
