This page is for the Mottled Duck (Anas fulvigula). I was these ducks while walking around in the evening at a conference at Walt Disney World. I saw some other ducks that looked very similar. It turns out that the female Mallard and the Mottled Ducks look very similar. While the Merlin app was wanting to call them all Mottled Ducks, the bill of the other looked more Mallard, so I think it was a hybrid. These two both have bills that tell me full Mottled Duck.
